Personal notes

I originally formulated humblebee balm with the main intention of being a foot balm, using a rich blend of base oils and an antiseptic and anti-fungal blend of essential oils which could assist in conditions such as very dry heels while at the same time treating common foot niggles such as athletes feet and foot fungus.

Great was my surprise when I discovered for myself and started getting reports of the many other beneficial uses of the essential oil blend in the balm.

Humblebee has grown to be a trusted outdoors companion, and is one of the most used and versatile balms in our our home.

Application

A soothing foot balm

Apply to cracked heels, massage onto toe-nails affected by foot fungus or areas affected by athletes foot.

May be used as a reviving foot massage balm. Smooth liberally onto feet, concentrating on dry heels and the areas on and between the toes. It is suggested that the feet be washed and exfoliated, and dressed in clean socks after application. To enjoy maximum benefit of the product, apply as an overnight treatment.

Soothing muscle rub

Beneficial as an anti-inflammatory muscle rub after a day of strenuous exercise.

Bug repellent and bug bite soother

The essential oils in the blend have insect repellent properties, and in the unfortunate event of being stung, may be applied as an anti-itch bug bite soother.

An excellent balm to keep on hand for activities in the great outdoors.

Headache soother

Peppermint oil in the formula is a known headache soother. Massage onto the temples, behind the ears and onto the forehead to soothe and comfort. Excellent when massaged onto the neck and shoulders to relieve tension-induced headaches.

A natural vapo-rub alternative

Assists in easing breathing when applied to the chest and back during respiratory cold and flu symptoms. Expectorant properties.

Hemorrhoid soother

This was a surprising and unexpected discovery made by one of our Beeloveds!

Persea Grattissima (avocado) fruit oil, Olea Europea (organic olive) fruit oil, Healianthus Annuus (sunflower) seed oil, Cera Alba (unbleached beeswax), Tocopherol (vitamin E oil), Eucaluptus Smitthi (eucaluptus) leaf oil, Mentha Pipetera (peppermint) leaf essential oil, Maleleuca Alternifolia (tea tree) leaf essential oil

The aromatherapy oils in Humblebee balm are not suitable for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding, or on children under 2 years of age. Not recommended for use on persons with heart conditions, high blood pressure or those prone to epileptic fits.
