Beauty for Ashes

Beauty for Ashes

Dearly Beeloveds,

Springtime of the year 2020 has been the most beautiful wild-flower season I have ever experienced.  This, of course, due to the fact that this time around we did not have to travel half-way across the country to come down to the Cape to experience them. We are staying in the midst of them!

He sent me to give them flowers in place of their sorrow, olive oil in place of tears, and joyous praise in place of broken hearts. They will be called “Trees of Justice,” planted by the Lord to honor his name. Isaiah 61:3

After every dry season the rain does indeed come.  And when it does come, it washes all things clean and transforms the landscape into something beautiful!

He will give the rain for your land in its season, the early fall rain and the late spring rain, so that you may gather in your grain and your new wine and your olive oil. Deuteronomy 11:14

Promises from our garden

Promises on the farm

Hope started welling up in my spirit again.

I started to feel a heartbeat.

So in the same way, God wanted to end all doubt and confirm it even more forcefully to those who would inherit his promises. His purpose was unchangeable, so God added his vow to the promise. So it is impossible for God to lie for we know that his promise and his vow will never change! And now we have run into his heart to hide ourselves in his faithfulness. This is where we find his strength and comfort, for he empowers us to seize what has already been established ahead of time—an unshakeable hope! We have this certain hope like a strong, unbreakable anchor holding our souls to God himself. Our anchor of hope is fastened to the mercy seat which sits in the heavenly realm beyond the sacred threshold, and where Jesus, our forerunner, has gone in before us. Hebrews 6:17‭-‬20
